Roller bending machines are used in almost every industry sector: furniture, construction, automotive and even aerospace. CNC-controlled bending machines are used where high repeatability of production of complex spatial bends is required.

In each sector of applications: from aerospace to shipyard, from automotive to structural, engineers are always proposing solutions of more sophisticated bent parts, made out of hard material that can only be obtained by bending non-standard profiles at very tight diameters with strict tolerances.

Characteristics of three-roller benders:

One of the types of popular CNC bending machines is three-roller bending machines. Three-roller benders are often called coiling and rolling machines. Devices such as three-roller bending machines bend using the method of rolling a pipe or section between three rollers, hence their name. These benders are characterised by the fact that they have three rollers, at least one of which is numerically controlled. The control system makes it possible to bend pipes and profiles to a given radius. Pressing one roll causes bending of the pipe or section along the arch. CNC bending of pipes and sections allows to achieve extremely high repeatability of made parts.

Controlling the operation of the machine by means of a CNC controller accelerates the bending cycle. Rolling machines are used for serial production, automating the process of making bent elements that require a complex combination of bends.

The control system optimizes both the time of bending sections, shortening it to a minimum, but also takes care to maintain high accuracy of workmanship.
